Custom jewelry design consultations are by appointment in a private jeweler's studio located on the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington, Vermont.
Jewelry Appraisal requires advanced education in gemology, valuation in personal property and current, antique and ancient construction techniques. In fact, only 5% of companies in the US that offer jewelry appraisal are actually qualified!
Kennon Young, GG, CBJT, Member, NAJA, is a GIA graduate gemologist, Jewelers of America Certified Bench Jeweler Technician, and has completed all of the valuation in personal property courses offered by The American Society of Appraisers- including the coveted Master Gemologist Appraiser course.
All jewelry repairs at the Vermont Gem Lab are performed by a Jewelers of America Certified Bench Jeweler Technician using a state of the art laser welding system. Super tough welds create new, long lasting bonds between any precious metals with pin-point accuracy. Even soft gemstones and delicate jewelry settings remain unharmed when repaired with a laser welder.
